Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has inked operating leases with CIT Aerospace for four new Airbus A330-300 aircraft for its long-haul operations.
The aircraft, to be delivered between 2013 and 2014, will be powered by Rolls-Royce's Trent 772B engines, said the airline in a stock exchange statement.
The carrier earlier in February announced that it will be launching low cost long-haul services in the third quarter of 2013 with eight leased A330s.
"With the introduction of widebody aircraft into our fleet, we could offer non-stop services to Australia, India, the Middle East and parts of Europe and the US," said Alex Reyes, general manager of the airline's long-haul division.
