Singapore and Europe have strengthened their ties with the inking of three separate agreements to extend cooperation in the areas of aviation and land transport.
The Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed on the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow 2012 Aviation Leadership Summit at Raffles City on Monday.
Areas covered under the aviation agreements include civil aviation training as well as the sharing of information and research. The MOU on transport provides for tie-ups in the field of intelligent transport systems, among other facets of mutual interest.
On the Singapore side, Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew signed the land deal while Mr Yap Ong Heng, director-general of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore signed the aviation agreements.
