An Air France Airbus A319-100, registration F-GRHN performing flight AF-1600 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Madrid,SP (Spain), was on final approach to Madrid's runway 33L, when the aircraft collided with a bird. The crew continued for a safe landing on runway 33L and taxied to the apron.
Following a post flight inspection, that found the aircraft had received damage as result of the bird strike, the return flight AF-1601 was cancelled.
