THAILAND-Thai low-cost carrier, Nok Air has announced the launch of flights between Bangkok and Chiang Rai, in the far north of the country. From 28 December, the airline will offer twice daily services from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport. Services will depart the Thai capital at 0920 and 1525 each day, returning from Chiang Rai at 1105 and 1710.
“We are very excited about adding Bangkok–Chiang Rai as the latest route in our domestic network,” said Nok Air's CEO, Patee Sarasin. “We are pleased to be able to provide further convenience to travelers from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, as we add to the 18 existing provinces in Thailand we now fly to.”
All flights will be operated using a 168-seat, single class Boeing 737-400.
