UAE-Emirates' flights to Venice will go double daily from March 25 next year.
The second daily flight, EK137, will leave Dubai at 1545 and arrive in Venice at 2000. The return flight, EK138, will leave Venice Marco Polo Airport at 2150, landing in Dubai 0535 the next day.
A 267-seat A340-300 will operate the route with first, business and economy cabins.
The airline, which started flying to Venice in July 2007, remains the only carrier to offer a non-stop passenger service to and from Dubai, although Qatar Airways launched services from Doha in June.
Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Europe & Russian Federation, said the move will meet a "clear need" for another daily service.
As well as picking up regional tourism and business traffic, the route appeals to passengers in neighbouring Slovenia.
Business Class passengers in Venice can jump on a water limousine airport transfer service, whisking passengers through the Venetian Lagoon.
News of the extra daily flight comes two weeks after Emirates placed a 489-seat A380 on one of its twice daily Rome flights.
