Low-cost carrier AirAsia Indonesia launched its new route, Kuala lumpur–Lombok, on Friday.
The company has scheduled three flights in a week; on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

AirAsia CEO Aireen Omar said that around 9,000 tickets for the Kuala
Lumpur-Lombok route had been booked since the company opened up ticket
sales two months ago. Tourists from Korea, China, Japan and Thailand
also showed their interest in using the route, Aireen added.
West
Nusa Tenggara Deputy Governor Badrul Munir said that the direct flights
from foreign destinations to Lombok could significantly boost tourism on
the island.
Apart from AirAsia, Singapore-based Silk Air also operates direct flights from Singapore to Lombok. (cor/lfr)
