An Indigo Airbus A320-200, flight 6E-252 from Indore to Raipur (India) with 123 people on board, was accelerating for takeoff when the crew spotted a large bird approaching the aircraft from the right and rejected takeoff at high speed, but could not prevent the bird to hit the engine. The aircraft slowed safely, a tyre however deflated due to brakes overheating.
An engine received damage to the fan blades as result of the bird strike.
A replacement aircraft reached Raipur with a delay of 6.5 hours.
