In a move designed to strengthen and optimize its international network, Air China (CA) on March 10 will resume service to Paris CDG from Shanghai Pudong using a Boeing 777-300ER. It will also remove Shanghai from its Shanghai-Beijing Capital (PEK)-CDG service and begin direct PEK-CDG after replacing an Airbus A340 with a 777-300ER on the route.
“What Air China has done with respect to the Beijing - Paris market is just one of the moves that the carrier is making to shore up its international presence. In 2012, Air China will make further inroads into the overseas market,” CA said.
The Star Alliance carrier will launch PEK-Copenhagen service in 2012, bringing its European destinations to 13.
